Before the procedure
During the first consultation for microneedling, we will discuss your wishes together. We will make sure that microneedling is a treatment that will meet your expectations. We will create a tailor-made treatment plan. To this end, we will carry out an assessment of your skin. Before the microneedling session, please inform us if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication (Roaccutan), using cortisone or Vitamin A-based creams, having skin problems, or if you have healing problems (keloid formation). We will have you fill out an informed consent form at your first visit.
During the procedure
Your microneedling treatment is carried out in an area combining comfort, well-being and hygiene standards. The skin is cleaned and disinfected. Several painless passes are made over the area at different depths in order to touch all the layers of the dermis. These micro-perforations will induce a healing process and therefore a cellular renewal accompanied by an elastin and collagen production. The skin is transiently dewy and small bleeding can be observed if a deep treatment is chosen. For certain indications, the passage will be slightly deeper and discomfort may be felt. A microneedling session lasts an average of 20 minutes, then the application of a mask will relieve your skin and provide it with moisture and comfort.
After the procedure
Immediately after treatment, your skin will be warm and taut. It will also be pink or slightly red, as if you had been under the sun. The redness and warm feeling should subside after a few hours. But for some clients, it may take a day or two for these side effects to disappear completely. In this case, you can use a cooling face mask to reduce the redness, heat and inflammation.
